Founded in 1979, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) has the purpose of helping Christ-centered, evangelical, churches and other nonprofit organizations earn the public's trust through their ethical practices and financial accountability. ECFA assists its over 1,600 member organizations in making appropriate public disclosure of their financial practices and accomplishments, thus materially enhancing their credibility and support potential among present and prospective donors.
